What is Highline Adventures, exactly?
An outdoor adventure park on a working ranch in the hills south of Buellton and Solvang, in the heart of Santa Ynez Valley wine country. The idea behind it is simple: this region has incredible scenery, and the best way to see it is from above the treetops, not just from a tasting-room patio. Not everyone comes for the zipline, which is why the rest of the ranch exists. Everything books separately and runs from the same basecamp, so a group can split up and meet back. Prices are per person at checkout.

What should I wear and bring?
Dress for a ranch, not a tasting room.
- Closed-toe shoesRequired for every activity. Athletic or hiking shoes suited to uneven ground — no sandals, flip-flops or heels.
- LayersMornings and evenings in the valley run cool even in summer. Bring a light jacket for the Moonlight Zipline; temperatures drop after sunset.
- Nothing looseNo scarves, ponchos or dangling accessories. Short shorts aren't recommended under a harness. Long hair gets tied back under the helmet.
- SunSunscreen, sunglasses and a hat for daytime tours. A sunglass strap is worth it on the lines.
- Phone & cameraDevices are easy to drop from the cable. Lanyards are available to rent or buy at basecamp; cameras need a neck strap. Otherwise leave it in the car — we can't replace lost or broken property.
- The waiverEveryone signs one before taking part; under-18s need a parent's signature. Do it from the link in your confirmation email and save time at check-in.
How do I get there and where do I park?
Look for the sign next to OstrichLand.

From Highway 101, take exit 140A onto CA-246 toward Lompoc and Solvang. Go about a mile and look for the Highline Adventures sign next to OstrichLand. Turn onto the dirt road, follow it all the way across the river bed, take the first right at the foot of the mountain, and park in the marked lot. It's a working ranch, so the last half-mile feels different from a normal parking lot — that's normal.
Arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your tour time for check-in and gear. Tours leave on schedule, and a late arrival without notice may not be accommodated. Full turn-by-turn and a map link are on the directions page.
