Option 1: The Full Trek (5.25 Miles Round Trip)

Hike up to the summit of Launch 1 and hike back down. Enjoy the crisp morning air and the incredible panoramic views of the valley and our beautiful Protea fields. This challenging trek is a full 5.25-mile round trip, perfect for dedicated hikers.

The Turkey Trek is a morning experience that will get your blood pumping and deliver some of the best views in the Santa Ynez Valley before the holiday celebrations begin.

If you want an extra thrill? Add on a Hike and Fly! We’ll zip you back down on California’s biggest and fastest ziplines!

Option 2: The Hike & Fly (The Ultimate Reward)

Conquer the challenging uphill climb to Launch 1. Once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with the ride of a lifetime: a high-speed descent on one of California’s biggest and fastest ziplines!

  • Hike Up: Challenging 2.7-mile uphill hike that ascends 1,200 feet.

  • Fly Down: Experience the ultimate adrenaline rush as you hit speeds exceeding 50 mph on the zipline descent back to basecamp.

This option gives you the workout without the wear-and-tear of the downhill trek, leaving your legs fresh for pie later!

Turkey Trek Eligibility

  • Must be in reasonably good health, for a uphill hike!
  • Must have use of both arms and legs
  • Must wear closed-toe shoes and dress as if you are going on a hike
  • Must be able to hike 2+ miles and up 1100 vertical feet

Hike & Fly Eligibility

  • Must weigh between 75 – 275 lbs
  • Must be in reasonably good health, with ability to descend 5ft ladder
  • Must have use of both arms and legs
  • Must wear closed-toe shoes and dress as if you are going on a hike
  • Long hair must be tied back and loose accessories removed
  • Pregnant woman ineligible to participate
  • Must be able to hike 2+ miles and up 1100 vertical feet

You’re in Good Hands
Before leading a tour, all guides must pass a series of in-house training courses. Training includes course-specific requirements from the manufacturer, demonstration of gear and equipment knowledge, ability to perform rescue procedures and obtain CPR + First Aid certification.

Be Prepared

  • Be sure to arrive on time!
  • Follow the link in your email to sign your waiver ahead of time
  • Dress appropriately for the weather
  • Close-toed shoes are required
  • Dress as if you’re going for a hike
  • Pants or longer shorts are recommended for comfort
  • Long hair must be tied back
  • Sunglasses and hats can be worn at your own discretion
  • Do not wear loose accessories or dangly jewelry
  • Tours last 1.5 – 2 hours; plan meals accordingly
  • Water provided – more concessions coming soon!
